As part of the 21st Annual River To River Festival, the Seaport Museum is partnering with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and artist Rose DeSiano on presenting an immersive space made up of larger-than-life lenticular photographs. Using images from the collection and archives of the South Street Seaport Museum, Rose is merging past and present together to create an installation of mirrors, historic photographs, and optical illusions. These photo sculptures will bring to the surface and celebrate the community, workers, and the histories of the South Street Seaport Historic District and the New York Harbor.
Lenticular Histories: South Street Seaport will be on view for free from June 18 to June 29, outdoors on the cobblestones of Water Street between Fulton and Beekman Streets and Front Street between Fulton and John Streets.
